Pecha Kucha huh?

A whopping 4 people showed up for the Baseball DAO social this weekend.  Why didn't you go? In the last DAO meeting everyone seems pretty excited about participating in this event.  Everyone asked questions and contributed in the decision making process.  However, where did we go wrong?  We want to have these events as a way for all of us to get to know each other and welcome our new members.  Was it advertised enough?  Please let us know what we could have done better to make this event a success.
On a better note, there is a great networking opportunity coming up this Friday, August 27th in Tampa!  The event is called "Pecha Kucha," pronounced ("peh chak cha"), which is Japanese for "chit-chat."  There will designers, advocates, and overall creative passionate people who have 20 seconds to show 20 slides each.  There will also be other things to enjoy such as open mike, happy hour, and forum for new ideas.
This event has spread over 300 cities around the world, but first originated in Japan by an architect named Klein Dytham.  So all of you who want to network for your own good or have to attend a "professional interaction event"...this is for you!
The event will be held at Mise En Place, in the LaFayette Room, at 442 W. Kennedy Blvd.  Be sure to get there within good time!  Doors open at 7pm and presentations begin at 8pm.  Come out and support your Tampa Bay design community!
